As AdBrite Dies, What Are Other Active Google AdSense Alternatives?

As AdBrite Dies, What Are Other Active Google AdSense Alternatives?

Earlier this week, I got an email informing me that as of Feb 1, 2013, AdBrite, a known Google AdSense Alternative, will cease operations.

AdBrite Dies - Google AdSense Alternative

Understanding that Google is a dominant force in the search market, I am not even a little surprised by this but still a bit melancholy because even though AdBrite was not that great, the bigger message is that Google AdSense’s system is that impenetrable. To me, Google has become much like OZ and for that, I am not a huge fan of them despite liking a couple of their analysis tools.

Truth be told, I actively sought out Google AdSense Alternatives after reading about Panda/Penguin’s impact on other bloggers and realizing that despite their intention of bringing forth quality content, there are still some serious kinks in that system. That’s why I turned my attention to being more social and let the Google traffic thing sort itself out.

So if you want to see what else is out there beyond AdSense to help you make money online, check out these alternatives:

Create your own social networking site with this powerful wordpress theme
Reachli – I mentioned this company in a previous post and I’m happy to report, things have definitely been on the upswing. Reachli is the next generation of visual PPC marketing and has moved beyond the Pinterest platform in a big way to blogs, websites and even apps. They boast strong CTR, have widgets with links and pictures that you can post anywhere and when it’s clicked, you make money, from $0.07/click to (and I’ve seen this) $0.27/click. You have an active tally of your money earned and if your balance is above $10, you can withdraw funds to PayPal. They’re working to improve the publisher interface and have a variety of advertisers ready for promotion. I totally love these guys and enjoy working it so I highly recommend you check out this alternative.

Amazon Associates – Now I’ve been with Amazon for years (remind me to tell you how I used to know a cousin of Jeff Bezos back in the day) and I’ve decided to really invest in it thanks to an old bullying boss blog post that was making me money, unbeknownst to me. I took a fresh look at it and was thoroughly impressed with the resources for associates, including customized widgets where you get to select the products you want to promote. Now, while you don’t get paid per click (but by sale after the item is shipped), you do get to choose targeted products, add specific tracking IDs so that you have customized analytics for a specific location, and you get an interface that will help you keep a daily tally of your impressions, clicks, conversions, sales, etc.  It’s really a solid system they have in place.

Qadabra - I found out about this company not too long ago and am trying it out. Basically they are strictly banner ads and from what I see the ads are served immediately after the code is added. Typically with many other, including Google, you had to wait a few hours if not a whole day to get ads. Now, while Qadabra is straight forward and uncomplicated, you can’t really use keywords to filter out incompatible ads, so if you’re looking for more niche PPC, this may not be for you. I decided to give it a try here just to see if it would adjust over time.

I know that there are  more than enough Google AdSense Alternatives for us to choose from and we haven’t even touched on the affiliate marketing option and money generating alternative sites like Squidoo but I would love to hear from you:

What AdSense alternatives are working for you?

Just started finally making roughly about $50 per day with adsense after about 3 years of dabbling here and there in IM…Past 6 months about $350 per week $1300-$1400 a month of some awesome hard earned income….Today i received the email that my account was suspended due to a high volume of clicks…That was devasting, you have no idea…$1400 dollars a month down the drain….All for something i have no control of…Why would someone go to somebody’s website and click on there ad’s all day???…I just don’t get it…SMH…So frustrated right now, please forgive my rant…But FU Google…Kiss My A**!!!

D. Dixon says:

No need to apologize, Jesus. I know what that’s like and I agree with you because you work hard on this aspect of your business and it feels like a stain on that hard earned rep. As far as the income, I know your pain for sure. I know these options may not be at the level of Google, but the good thing is you really have choices. So I hope you know you’ve found something else

Thanks for the reply…I just started implementing Chitika on a few of my sites as a case study to see how well they(chitika ads) convert…My impressions are huge, but the CTR is very low…Guess I’m just going to have to keep testing and see what works best. I just recently as of today, have been accepted into MaxBounty, so I’m going to test with them as well and see what convert’s. Adsense is definitely not the only source for making money online. So for all those facing the same situation, never give up hope and keep striving to generate an income. Have a blessed day =0)

Jesus

BTW awesome job with the site. Keep up the good work!

I understand that Chitika is an OK alternative and I’m sure that there are others out there. The thing is that you may have to combine a few alternatives to make up the difference so, like you said, you’ll need to test. I wish you the best and keep me updated on “the fight.”

i had several sites running adsense under the same account….got an email saying account was disabled…20k returned to advertisers and the email didn’t say which site or exactly what the problem was. I made google nearly 1million from their share from my 6+ years with adsense and they don’t even have the decency to let me speak or even email an actual person about any of this. The whole thing is void of any human interaction and in my opion is out of control. I would encourage anybody who has another option to avoid adsense and the evil robot.

D. Dixon says:

WOW! That is a slap in the face. No explanation, no chance to fight back. Sorry you went through that. Good advice and hope things are going well for you now

the only bad thing in adsense is that tey can close you’r account for invalid clicks even if it’s not your fault

It’s the same thing in some of the others and if that happens, I just let them go and move on. They seem unable to tell me what’s going exactly and chances are, it could be some vulnerability on their end. The great thing is that we have many choices. Thanks for your comment, Corey

any of these adsense alternatives are just retargeters for legit services like Technorati. I like second-level player media dot net and mylikes for widgets.

Google adsense ban ads in my website. I am using combination of BidVertiser, Clicksor and PopAds as alternative for adsense now. Bidvertiser is good for CPC. Clicksor and PopAds have pop unders and good for CPM. PopAds can be placed anywhere in site and it will not utilise any site space. Chitika is complete waste for me. It pays very less. I don’t know why everyone suggesting Chitika.

Web Doubts says:

AdBrite is not played that much of great role but it had supported to large websites. It was too tough to make money with AdBrite with low traffic but Google AdSense blesses even low traffic websites with best CPC rate. Hence, Google AdSense is still a dominating force in Internet Publisher Programs. Even new Ad networks come into market but they may not be like Google AdSense. AdBrite is also realized it lately. I think all of us remember AdSense’s former competitor Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN). It was received extraordinary response from users but what happened? Yahoo was also failed to fight with Google. Of Course new ad networks come and go but only few ad networks survive from Google’s effect.
